Leave The Boy - Eerie Eerie (Jack Fell Down Remix)

Leave The Boy is a project that comes from the hearts and minds of Danton Eeprom and Emma Okafor. The pair met at a friends NYE house party in 2009 and immediately bonded over karaoke and David Bowie, a wild combination. Danton immediately invited Emma to record backing vocals for a handful of remixes and tracks he was working on which led to some live performances on French national radio and at the Fnac Indetendances Festival in Paris where Danton was showcasing his debut LP on Foundation Records. During this time the outlines of a collaborative project became clear, they wanted to unleash a new breed of inner city music, taking in their characters very different roots and backgrounds, capturing their common appeal for the cutting edge, clever RnB and electronic sounds laced with a Rock n Roll attitude. This was to become Leave The Boy! The First release comes in the spooky form of Eerie Eerie, a weird, out there slice of house music. The heavy bass and kick layered with ethereal bells and shiny space sounds create a foundation for Emma's beautiful words about those ever so popular relationship/break up times, when life can seem at its most complicated. Accompanied by a fine selection of remixes to spread it to the furthest reaches of club lands cosmos, this track should take you on a trip, help you leave the world behind for a moment in time. Luca C & Brigante (Morals, Infinity Inc) take the track and strip it back to a percussion driven dancefloor weapon, full of their signature lead synths and pads, already tried by the duo and some close friends, expect to hear this on a soundsystem near you soon. SFR new comers Jack Fell Down laydown a huge kick drum and bassline combination that has the lush vocals floating over the top creating an out there rump shaker. Also avaliable are remixes from David Caretta and DJ Sujinho, both take it on the more electro route, but no less effective, alongside the Afterthoughts version from Danton himself, just ask james if you want these. Danton is busy with lots of other production jobs and solo material, if you don't already know well worth checking his past productions on InFine, Freak n Chic and Rekids with Radio Slave as well as his own Foundation Records.
