Chiwetel Ejiofor insane voice acting skills

Ejiofor has played a witty drag queen before, he absolutely has the skills to perform Scar in a similar yet unique way to the original, and Jon just killed the chances of that ever happening.

it's such a weird mix of realistic and exaggerated. like he wanted to do something dynamic like the original, but Jon made him play it without any humour, so instead he just throws in random pauses to make it sound extra villainous.

Chiwetel is a fantastic actor, and I wouldn't mind him voicing Scar if his performance had more life to it.

He was a great villain in Serenity. He can play a calm, calculating villain real well. Problem Is Scar needs panache.

Even the greatest actors can only go so far on their own. They need the proper direction to help them get to the peak. It's very clear that no one was getting any good direction in this movie. I guess fur glow was more important.

He really was wasted by this film. He's got a solid range of emotion and passion and good ol' Jon just directed him into giving such a lifeless performance. An absolute shame, I think he could have killed the role with a better director.
