I have a question for the Earth radius and mass example. I made a gE for the earth and a gP for the planet. Then I put in the 10 x M and 20R for gP and made the ratio thing which you showed in the D1.1 example. I got 40m/s^2. Why wouldn't this work here?

Thanks for the amazng videos. Small correction: In the last question 9:47 the number of significant figures used should be one, hence 0.2 m.s^-2

Isnt the gravity at the surface of the Earth 10 in P1, 9.8 in P2
Please correct me if im wrong since P1 is tomorrow

For the Deimos mass question, isn't M = mass of Mars, not mass of Deimos? You used Deimos' mass.

I am sorry to ask. But how can a celestial object bigger and heavier than earth have less gravitational force? (To compare my intuition, I looked up the g's of other objects, jupiter's g force; 24 m/s^2, moon; 1, 62. I have no teachers to ask questions to so I am hoping I can find an answer here. Excuse me, I just couldn't understand...
