CloudFront engineer here and just wanted to point out that we’re more than just a pure cache. There is also a compute component which is used for things like injecting ads in a live stream in real time. :)

Hey Gaurav, I've been following your channel for many years now and have learned a lot! One suggestion: I think we'd all benefit from a better mic. There's some echo that makes it hard to understand you in some situations.

Thank you for the brilliant video, Gaurav. I used almost all these services in my previous roles. You missed AMB (Amazon Managed Blockchain).

One correction: Cassandra was inspired by Amazon's Dynamo paper not Dynamo DB.

Hi @gaurav the content is great, but if you can manage to improve the sound quality that will be great as the sound seems resounded.

I wonder you didn't spoke about EKS since Kubernetes has been adopted a lot nowadays in many Startups to Mid & even Large Sized companies. Nontheless good video as always.

Shouldnt we consider SNS as the more appropriate contemporary to Kafka rather than sqs? I dont see sns being something to be used merely for the use case of sms sending - it even follows similar terminology like topics and subscriptions.. the difference lies in the fact that sns doesnt have a queue of its own - unlike kafka but sqs can be used alongside to achieve that (we use one queue per topic). Another thing would be that its push based and atleast what i have seen so far - kafka implementations are pull based.. let me know ur thoughts 🙂
