Great videos kirk iv been 30plus plastering years iv used these carbon and stainless, , I was getting cramps in the evenings like a stroke horrible, , iv changed to a nela black edition trowel a ridged flex trowel it been a god send for me, , you really no your stuff cheers

I have been watching your videos, they are brilliant!!! Question I have never put up insulated plasterboard before but have been watching YouTube and havs learnt loads. If I put 50mm insulated plasterboard on the walls will I let it overhang by 30mm ish if I'm putting 25mm around the reveals and just cut off the small amount of insulation on the 50mm so they but up tightly together? Easy fella I got myself a 14“ x 4“ Marshalltown blue carbon steel is there any difference to just normal carbon steel

The way I like to clean mine from rust if i forgot to oil it:
Get bucket big enough for trowel to lay flat on bottom.
Get cleaning vinegar and pour enough in to cover trowel blade.

Get metal wire brush and scrub rust off after couple of minutes.
Rinse off and dry, then oil if not using now.

Picked up a 14x4 carbon steel trowel, will be getting it on the wet stones to to sharpen the edges before i get it on the skimming
