WATCH LIVE: RFK Jr. addresses Libertarian National Convention

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is addressing the Libertarian National Convention in Washington, DC, Friday afternoon.

Although Kennedy indicated last month he would not seek the Libertarian Party’s nomination, he has long promoted libertarian policies and values.

Democrat-aligned PAC MoveOn has invested in a mobile billboard campaign to dissuade convention attendees from supporting Kennedy.

Former President Trump will also be speaking at the Libertarian convention this weekend. Trump has been ahead of Biden in recent swing state polls. But the lead is narrow enough in some that a small number of independent and Libertarian voters could make the difference in the electoral college.

Kennedy is scheduled to appear at 3:30 p.m. EDT.

Gotta say, I didn't know how much COMMON GROUND I had with Libertarians until I heard this INDEPENDENT speak at the Libertarian National Convention! Seeing RFKs rise to the top has been and will continue to be so exciting! How could anyone argue with what this man said in this speech. He's making choosing him so easy for all especially when looking at the alternatives. I'm almost 82. I was 26 when Bobby Kennedy was assassinated . Some Precious part of me died the night Bobby was murdered. But that part of me has been resurrected with Bobby Kennedy Junior's candidacy for POTUS. When I first heard he was running, I had bought into the mainstream media portrayal of him as a conspiracy nut but I felt I owed it to Bobby to at least give his son a listening to. I'm so glad I did! After listening to many interviews I got a feel for his sincerity and Integrity. What's more, when I learned of his practicing a rigorously honest spiritual program, being an old friend of Bill's, well, that just put me over the moon! His emphasis on placing principles before personalities and not impugning the motives of others, but focusing only on policy differences keeps him out of the childish blame-game pettiness which has characterized politics for the last few presidential cycles. For the last 15 years or so I've heard Republicans complain that liberals, like communists, want to redistribute the wealth from the Rich to the Poor. Well, I've been around a while and my experience over the last 50 years or so tells me that through corporate lobbying, payoffs, financing campaigns, etc., Corporate America has more than just captured the Agencies which are supposed to regulate it. It has captured the Whole political system, both Republicans and Democrats to essentially establish a political duopoly which has dismantled the union movement, decimated the middle class and created the homeless class with exorbitant rental rates, interest rates on homes and credit cards, school loans, and stagnated wages over the last 45+ years. And so, the Rich, as plutocrats will, have been Redistributing the wealth from the Poor and Middle-class to the Rich! Bobby knows how to stop this because he's been suing Corporate America and the government agencies that are captured by Corporate America for polluting and injuring people, winning billions of dollars in judgments for the last 40 years.
I think Bobby wants us to trade Crony Capitalism for Conscientious Capitalism. I'm for that!
