Today I am reviewing "They/Them," a horror film that delves into the controversial topic of gay conversion therapy.

“…no character development. We didn’t really get to know anyone.” Cut to scene of character saying: “I’m a black transgender woman.” That’s all you’re supposed to need to know. That’s the whole identity right there and nothing else.

I was hoping with a title like 'They/Them' this was going to be a movie where everyone thinks that there is only one killer but they discover that there are actually many killers, possibly clones of the first one.

They didn't even have to try to make it a horror movie. Any movie about a they/them is a horror movie in my book.

As a Christian, I was hoping this would've been a movie that would've gone a different route in the horror genre. Instead, the movie was an offensive stereotype that linked faith with bigotry and insanity. It made Christians out to be abusive and crazy, which (sadly) doesn't surprise me since that's often what psychological and/or horror films do. This was a missed opportunity to represent people of different beliefs and lifestyles (followers of faith and the LGBTQ+ community) coming together to fight and survive a dangerous situation. Overall, this movie was an absolute insult and not worth checking out.

It's hard for me to watch even the short scenes in this video, and to think that people watch a whole hour and a half of this and pay money for it 🤦🏼‍♂

We don't like in reality when someone makes their whole identity their sexuality/gender. So an entire movie with the whole main cast like that is bound to be trash.

If I were a movie director who wanted to make an LGBT horror movie, Sodom and Gomorrha from the Old Testament would be my inspiration.
