I am an immigrant. Learned what is football at the age of 30 as a Detroit resident. Though I moved on from the city after 4 years, Detroit sports franchises are always my teams and it’s my home town far away from birth place. I never left following Lions, praying for their win every time they play for the past 21 years. There will be no happiest person in this world even if they go to NFC championship, let alone Super Bowl. Go Lions! Go Detroit!

I had a friend who was born in 1960 and a huge Lion’s fan owning season tickets for decades. He passed away before ever getting to see his Lions succeed. I hope he is able to see them now.

The most underrated quote from that day 1 press conference was DC telling us he was going to give the city a team that we could be proud of.
