People have to understand that Chavez looked up to Duran as a kid like all Latino kids. But, Duran, is clearly jealous of the recognition and God status Chavez enjoys to this day in Mexico and the Latin world. All the world over actually. But, in Mexico, he’s a god, if not THEE god in Mexican sports. Chavez has an enormous impact on his country much more than Duran ever had in his. I dare anyone to challenge me on this who disagrees. I think this is why Duran is always giving Chavez back handed compliments in the press. Of course, face to face, he’s all about Chavez and doesn’t like to share the spot light with him and is clearly uncomfortable. Duran is the same prick he always was toward rivals.

It sounds like Chavez confronted him because Durán says he doesn't talk smalk about Chavez but he does. Just a month ago, Durán uses expressions to discredit Chavez. He does talk bad about Chavez in Spanish interviews and when Julio sees him face to face Durán is all nice and buddy buddy with Julio. So Durán was denying that he had talk bad about Julio. So was Chavez asking him why he was talking ill about him?
