Editor in chief of the independent Syrian radio "Rozana", broadcasting from Paris to Syria.

Lina Chawaf (43), editor-in-chief Radio Rozana was a TV and radio executive in Syria until she fled her country when the violence started in 2011. Since its launch in June, Radio Rozana, a radio run by Syrian journalists in exile - broadcasting on the web and via satellite from Paris - has tried to provide balanced information to the Syrian people.

Radio Rozana aims to bring objective and independent reporting to Syrian listeners. The Arabic-language station gathers news from a network of undercover journalists on the ground in Syria, and broadcasts two hours of news, commentary, and interviews every day via satellite and on its website.

Chawaf and her team broadcast from a small apartment in north Paris, and rely exclusively on funding from French government agencies, Reporters Sans Frontieres (RSF), and other European nonprofits.

Hla Yin Aye

Hla Yin is the manager of Mandalay FM Radio Station which is broadcasting current affairs talk radio shows and she is also taking care of Pyinsawadi FM Radio Station.

She began her first career at Forever Group in 2007 as a TV presenter. Being appointed as a radio programmer as well as a radio host in 2008 when Forever Group estabilshed Mandalay FM radio station and she produced musician interviews and lots of music programs. Between 2010 and 2012 while working at Mandalay FM, she accepted an additional assignment as a project manager of TV drama series which was the first Myanmar Drama Series. In 2012, she became the Chief of Mandalay FM & Pyinsawadi FM radio stations and she chose radio life completely. In 2013, she led Mandalay FM to co-operate with Sveriges Radio (SR) and started the very first current affairs live radio show in Myanmar.
