yes I did. I bought the cables at best buy about 2 weeks ago, so they are not old. The thing is, I like the picture settings for normal tv watching but not movie watching. I may just reset to factory settings and fiddle around with the hdmi ports to see if I have any changes there.

I also made sure I have UHD color set to on and there is a difference in color with the pop versus the normal blue ray, however im concerned because everyone says iits a pretty big jump with how much more dynamic the pic looks but im seeing a very minor difference at best.

hmm, the UHD on my tv is set to on, and so is deep color. however, how would i disable video processing on the reciever? i havent done that because i only have my player running through my reciever through one hdmi cable so i wonder if that makes a difference.

this may be a dumb question, but how do you tell that HDR is indeed working and running while playing a movie?

hmm, I know that im using a rocketfish cable from the player to the reciever and from the reciever to the tv. they do 4k and 18gps so does that mean they are 2.0? man, hdr looks amazing when done right and keep watching your vid with mine and it's like night and day with how dynamic your picture looks.

hmm, im having this hdcp issue where the player is telling me the movie will be played 1080p because the input isn'tHDCP even though I know the reciever, player and tv are. are all the ports on the one connect HDCP 2.2? maybe thats why I can't get true HDR? sorry, this is just quite frustrating.

so i fixed the hdcp problem by running another hdmi cable to the sub port on the player directly to the tv. Now Im getting an excellent 4k picture quality beyond belief, however i dont feel like iim getting true hdr: For whatever reason, I can see ultra hd content on netflix but hdr content doesn't show at all, and it just decent seem like im getting much of an improvement from non hdr to hdr movies and iim just super frustrated.

dude can you help me out? I have the same js9500 and player and the dynamic range doesn't look that vivid at all, what am I doing wrong. i have a marantz sr5010 reciever as well.

That's just it though. i have mad max and the pic is great, but there is not a huge improvement in the hdr versus the regular blu ray and I can't get why. Everyone says there should be, but im not seeing it. can you do me a favor boss? Can you go into your TV and tell me what firmware you have? My version is 1440. And if you can, what settiings are you using for vid on blu ray? im really sorry to be bothering you like this dude I just want to be getting the full experience with the setup that I have.
