People like to turn the debate of SonicFox vs. GO1 into too much of a "this community vs. this community" type of argument.
That's not what this is.
It's two skilled players with a history of high-level competition gunning for the top in a new game. Both have proven to be more than capable of winning at the highest level, and when these guys decide to compete in a game, nobody doubts that they can be threatening, nobody who actually competes sleeps on GO1 or SonicFox.
We can watch videos that makes one side or the other look better or worse, and we can make a compilation of SonicFox not playing his main team or a video of GO1 getting bodied by Dogura's Kid Buu in a FT5, but that's not the whole picture.
And ain't none of us allowed to talk shit until these two fight for real. Everybody talked smack when Chris G knocked Sonic down to losers in Winter Brawl, "SonicFox can't fight a real player" and what happened in Grand Finals? 6-0 sweep.
Casuals doubted GO1 would be a threat in this game early on, "Capcom has-been", they said, and what's happening? He's a menace in Japan.
So I won't make a wild claim or place a bet, I'll just be going to Final Round to watch this shit live.
Let's see how big this gets!

I love this game. I was never really into 2D fighters, or DBZ.. but this game is just loads of fun. I’ve spent hours with my friends just kicking each other’s asses. Can’t get enough of it!

You DO know that SonicFox was playing a 3v3 party match and he was the Goku Black? He wiped out nearly the entire other teams players by himself (not on just this one but other party matches, just research before you comment).
