I got fault code glow plug circuit open. only did 90000Km. Wil try to replace it myself. Very helpful video

Thanks, brilliant job. I've been looking around to see if there are some glow plug issues. I've got a Ranger XLT 3.2L for 8 years now and mine started having the hard start issue at 175k plus km.
I figured it was the glow plugs and wanted to get some confirmation.
Gonna have to remove the manifold before getting to those.

What's the issue can faulty glow plug can do? my Everest 3.2 on diagnostic glow plug 1 is faulty but the car run perfectly without issue. Ford advised to change all 5

My 3.2 ranger is 8 years old with over 80, 000 kms. It starts fine, no white smoke or anything but acceleration has been pretty bad. This is with the egr and intake manifolds cleaned. Glowplugs still haven’t been changed though, should I suspect the plugs?

Do you recomend getting catch can? I had a reco motor pit in as the imjectors let go and had catch can put back on reco motor and had nothing bit issues, first the sump started leaking wasnt sealed right then the timing case seal 3 times started leaking, mechanic said that its possible that there was pressure build up from catch can, can this happen?

Hi. Great video. I been suspecting glow Plugs on my 2019 3.2L Ford Ranger, it's only on 65000km and it only starts 3 hours after switching off.
It's like it has intermittent starts. Am I correct please advise.

Is this related to Engine light and reductant heater issue?

I just bought financed a 2017 everest trend and it has engin light on. Dealer changed glow plug and still there.

He said it was ok but i got it again 2nd time in 2 weeks.
How should i tell them my worrieams mate?

Hey mate with removing the manifold do you have to replace the seals/gaskets before refitting man or are they reusable if in good shape, not sure are they a rubber seal or? With the risk of snapping glow plugs is it as you slide the glow plugs out or is it when you are un doing them and if there hard to loosin/undo

I'm having a problem with my 2013 Ranger 3.2 4x4. It has a metallic rattling noise only under load. Seems to be coming from around the sump area. Did you ever have a problem like this. Ford are battling to pin point it. Some mechs say it's the dual mass fly... But Ford says it's a solid flywheel in there. I'm lost. And it's costing me alot with trial and error replacements. Any advice would help. Cheers from South Africa

I would be interested to know how many k's it had done, to have that much carbon buildup. I use a diesel additive with every tank in my PX2 to hopefully prevent a buildup.
