Damn, wouldn't it be convenient if they slaped some numbers on the side that identified it 🤔🤣

Super cheap one from the pawn shop.

Translation The one the crackhead employee stole, said he lost and then pawned.

Dewalt has a bunch of impact drivers. Depending on where you go shopping, you will find different models as well. Lowes carries specific models that Home Dept doesn't carry. In fact home depot just started to carry the newest model called the DCF845. I think retail is $140. I think the best ones are the ones sold at Lowes DCF840. And the stubby DCF850 sold at home depot. I'm about the get the DCF845 in my hands on the next couple weeks. I have way too many tools 😆

Your original is the XR series (commercial), your pawn shop is the Atomic series (more consumer targeted/cheaper). It’s real, just a totally different model.

Oh boy this thread is full of dewalt haters. I use the atomic impacts at work every day. They way out perform my co workers much more expensive makitas. Faster stronger... but haters will hate or never try competitors tools.

Scan the QR on battery slot. You'll know immediately if it's their product

They are definitely real. But they launch so many iterations and improvements that it can be confusing as hell to determine which is better.

Real batteries will have a QR code and the color on the sticker and body will match. Real tools I am not sure as everything I’ve bought has been at dealers

Lowes and Home Depot have different lines of DeWalt tools, Home Depot has the "atomic" series that are slightly more compact

That particular impact sells with a battery and charger for $99 at home Depot

There should be a legit QR code under the battery. The new series is called Atomic

Bro that's real, fake ones don't look like that, that is authentic

That's real, it's a DCF 809 which is only $99 for the full kit with battery and charger and back so I don't think anyone would mess with counterfeiting it. Dewalt can be confusing because they have so many models so similar and different models sold at Lowe's versus home Depot ECT... So that's why it might not look the same as another one.

I'm guessing that it's fake...not the impact but the Rolex you're wearing ... If you have Rolex money you don't cheap out, you buy Milwaukee lol

It’s real. But I am also the unfortunately owner of that impact. I purchased a set of that impact, an “atomic” drill, two batteries and a charger for $195 on sale at Lowe’s.

There is a reason it’s cheap. If your driving screws turning the nuts on a car battery securing bracket it’s fantastic I guess but in my experience brand new out of box with a full battery that thing can’t break loose 100 ft/lbs torque to save its life

That's the question. And we're still questioning . . .

The first one is the XR version and the second one is the Atomic version. I don't see any reason to think it's fake.

That is the atomic, aka the compact 20v... not very compact, they upgraded that one now too

It's real, it looks like it's from the early 00's.
Most pawn shops get so many ppl pawning tools that they stop taking them, none of the pawnshops in Baltimore will take tools because theyre all overflowing with tools.
That's a really good quality impact drill, but it's probably been sitting in that pawnshop for 10 years so they probably just wanted to sell it because they have plenty of brand new ones that they can sell for msrp anyways.

It’s a real DEWALT impact driver. It’s a fairly new DEWALT atomic impact driver that you can get from Home Depot
