"The Doom viewmodel", also used in Wolfenstein and Quake. When I began playing old Id Software games with centered weapons it actually did help me improve at first-person shooters in general. It trains your brain to be more familiar with what true center is whereas with a right-handed or left-handed viewmodel you're making an approximation. It's not like modern ADS either which limits your field of view and slows your speed down to 1 mph.

I wish you could actually get it to look like this, I recently set up the "gangster" viewmodel and tweaked it a bit so the iron sights kind of line up, I now just play like that lol much more enjoyable
