Not only did I buy this game for the full $80 Price Tag, I bought it for my sister as a Christmas Present. Seriously, the worst present I've ever gotten anyone. She's only played it twice.

For anyone actually considering Amiibo Festival still, keep in mind that as of the Welcome Amiibo update, Desert Island Escape is available on New Leaf (which is a very good core AC game) once you get the right item for it.

I found this game, brand new, with all the amiibo and the amiibo cards, for 5 dollars at a game shop. I had heard that it wasn't good but I bought it thinking "How is this game so bad that it manages to make the amiibos it comes with worth LESS?"
I brought it home and after playing it, I actually kind of enjoyed it. Yeah its pretty boring to play through multiple times in one sitting unless its with friends, but it had a lot of cute charm and the same animal crossing appeal. Maybe I just enjoyed it because I paid barely anything for it but I really ended up enjoying this game, it was a pleasant surprise. Desert Island Escape is amazing though, it made me want to go out and buy more amiibo cards just so I can try out new villagers, but sadly I can't seem to find any.

Honestly it does take a certain atmosphere within a group to comfortably play Amiibo Festival. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it, but we rarely have a chance to take the WiiU out of her room.

I think that the game could easily be fixed by putting some of the card-based mini-games into the board game, but then the board game lasts longer, and it can already be pretty long as is. They might have separated the mini-games because of that.

I'm so glad they added dessert island escape and amiibo functionality to animal crossing new leaf tho since it gave the cards actual use . I also bought the game for really cheap since it was on clearance for like 9 dollars lol

A animal crossing Mario party except it has only one Mini game and it might be better if it had mini games plus being able to use most non AC amiboos

I bought this game for £10. Which when you factor in the cards and the two amiibo, the game itself has a "value" of negative £10.

The cards aren't random, they're the main 3 villagers you start with. Goldie, Rosie and Stitches.
