This is one of my favorites... Did you see how emotional he got at the end.. in a interview he stated he was holding back his tears. This song is very personal for him cause it is his native tounge and is a folk song from a poem of a kazach that was put in prison. He stated his dream was to sing his country's songs on the stage to share with the world and with this song it happened.. it's so beautiful ❤️

This song is a poem that was written from prison to this man's love. He has been imprisoned wrongly for treason and was lied to about his love. He was told that she no longer cared for him and he was heartbroken. Later he was released and found that his love had never wavered in her love for him. He was again imprisoned wrongly and put to death. All of Kazakhstan knows this song. It is deeply personal and meaningful to Dimash to sing it and honor it. This performance is from his Bastau concert and his 1st concert for Kazakhstan after his fame from 'The Singer' Chinese show. It is beautiful and emotional.

DAIDIDAU! This song is very special to Dimash. "Daididau" has long been considered a folk song. However, philologists, based on the study of the poetry of Magzhan Zhumabayev, came to the conclusion that the author of this song is Magzhan Zhumabayev (1893-1938) - a Kazakh Soviet writer, poet, publicist, teacher, one of the founders of the new Kazakh literature. Magzhan Zhumabayev was shot as an enemy of the people in March 1938. The poems, songs, and other works of Magzhan Zhumabayev, written before the first arrest and exile to Siberia for 10 years in 1929, have been preserved and they are well known. Almost nothing is known about the works written in Siberia He was pulled from his love, and then he was lied to and told that she no longer loved him. Then when released he found that she had always loved him. He then was imprisoned again and put to death. All of Kazakhstan knows this song and the true story. This is deeply personal and important to Dimash and his country.

At 3.00 of your video, you can see that Dimash is giving signal to his team that his ear piece is not working, and he actually sang the whole song without the ear piece. It was Dimash dream to sing a Kazakh folk song in big stage and that was why he was so emotional at the end😊
