They have this thing called silver blood that lets them perform magic without a magic wand. The blood makes their eyes naturally blueish purple and the exposure to the magic bleaches their hair over time. Bc of this a lot of ppl think they use magic to commit crimes so they k1ll them off one by one idk if that makes sense or not

The fact that there were probably kids that felt that way back when the Salem witch trials were happening is sad. :(

It's sad because they were so confident they could avenge their mother together but Katsumi ends up dying and Kirika is forced to leave. It's sad because they'll never get to keep their promise even if they want to.

Cool lil fact: my great, great, great something grandma was convicted of being a witch, but then she sacrificed her siblings by saying THEY were witches and they were drowned so she could live. Cruel, but I wouldn’t be alive if she didn’t do that.

during the Salem witch trials there were "covens" and they were apart of early Christianity, there would also be a head witch of each coven. There were also two types of witches, witches and natural witches, witches were normally killed in the Salem witch trials while natural witches were seen as good and were normally spared.

I live in town where the witch trails happened, there is witch symbols (the tri-pointed one) engrained on the rocks on the beach. And the church where they imprisoned them still stands. We even have a cave that supposedly rituals used to done in.
And I can tell, children were put on trial too sometimes. It's horrifying. My towns history is not something to boast about.
