About Dua Lipa:
Born and raised in London to Kosovar-Albanian parents Dua Lipa signed to Warner Records in 2015, releasing her self titled debut in 2017 which featured the hit singles, 'Be The One', 'IDGAF', 'Hotter Than Hell' & her first UK #1 hit 'New Rules'.

Critical success soon followed as Dua Lipa picked up Brit Awards for 'Best Female Solo Artist' and 'Best British Breakthrough Act' as well as Grammy Awards for 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Dance Recording' for the track 'Electricity' in collaboration with Silk City.

Her second internationally acclaimed studio album 'Future Nostalgia' was released in 2020 and included the hit singles 'Don't Start Now, 'Break My Heart', 'Hallucinate' and 'Levitating', with the remix album 'Club Future Nostalgia' following shortly after featuring guest appearances from 'Blackpink', 'Missy Elliott', 'Madonna' and 'Gwen Stefani'.

Okay I just learned that she was a model before starting her music career and the lack of energy in this performance totally makes sense now because models are trained to look like they're exerting nothing when they move. But watching her newer performances, you can tell she's really been working on it and I live to see it :)

Future Nostalgia was a slap from Dua to all critics. She was literally like "you don't like my stage presence vocals and music. How but now! " instead of giving middle finger to critics and adressing them as haters.

I've noticed with Dua when she's singing at concerts just in front of fans her confidence and stage presence is great and she looks like she's having so much fun but on talk shows and award shows it's all gone and she's a bit stiff. But it's understandable she's new and will get better and better, love her so happy she won two awards! 😍❤️

after watching her most recent Grammy performance, I can't begin to say how proud I am of dua. she has definitely gained confidence and her stage presence now is 1000x what it was back then. so glad she has found herself on stage

Looking back at her old performances is painful tbh but the fact that she’s taken the criticism and has grown from that is pretty rare with celebrities nowadays. She deserves praise for it.
