UZBEKISTAN PRESIDENT SHAVKAT MIRZIYOYEV SWORN IN

Uzbekistan President-elect Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Saturday was sworn in at the joint session of the two chambers of parliament and assumed Presidential Office. The high-level event was attended by the representatives of the Senate and deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, heads of a number of state and public organizations, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and media outlets.
