Unless your supra came from the factory with a V160, the T56 Magnum is a no brainer.

You dont need to beat in the firewall anymore. Just need to cut the bellhousing area of the cd009. They make an billet adapter that allows you to use the a340 bellhousing, or if you went with the serial nine kit, its a one piece bellhousing and adapter. Fits like stock. You can also have the option of going with tilton multiplate clutch etc or any 350z clutch.

I’m gonna go t56 & put a sequential shifter on it. Should be good.

Im still doing some research on TR6060, im thinking it would be a bit cheaper to put in, you should look into that route.

Just learned that the MR2 stands for Mid-Ship/Run-About/2 Seater .

T56 is the best you can get for the money. Plus I want to see how your swap goes I might do the same one or when I blow my r154 lol.

I know that people have used an additional reluctor ring after gearbox to give signal for speed sensor. I quess they are custom made, but shouldn't be too hard to calculate correct amount of teeth and water/laser cut it. There are some forum topics about that, but couldn't find any in english.

A V160 would be cool if your Supra was a true twin turbo. I personally think and r154 is just fine. Who in the world wants to pay $10, 000 for a freaking transmission?!!!

V160 man, expensive but its supposed to be in the car. I bought one right before they went discontinued and im glad i did. If youre a purist you wont be happy with anything else.

Imo gr600>v160 for a na-t. No reason to go v160 unless loaded and a purist.

I had a r154 in my 600whp 2jz s14 drift car which didn't last. Now running a stock v160 with no problems, cost me $3500 for the box, $2000 for a clutch and $1800 AUS for a tail shaft. Either way you'll need a new clutch and tail shaft so really just comes down to your choice in gear box.
