Mine doesn't even say allocated, its just blank. And this error message keeps popping up over and over. I don't even have a USB card plugged in, just my camera, mouse, keyboard.

I've tried everything on my Dell laptop, and with two different sd cards, I get the unable to format error, the directory name is invalid error when I plug it in, and after attempting to create a new volume it states, "incorrect function."

What if you have data on your external hard drive already though? Changing the partition didn't allow me to open any of my files I already have stored on there.

Finally, had issues with installing windows and had multiple 32gb drives and even my usb was 32gb haha, long story short I accidentally formatted and converted my usb to GBT and created unallocated space. Thank you so much for this, will definitely keep this video in my playlists to refer to in the future if needed:)

Problem : I have downloaded a torrent file, rar in my download folder in C drive . Unzipped and all files are full size.

When opening, it says "The directory name is invalid".

All the advices point out on external drives. I speak about my C drive and a file inside the folder.

Any help possible🙏

For 8gb storage device the memory displayed there is 243mb. How can i fixup that error? And s I try for 243 mb it is showing an error like RPC server not available.

i'm using card reader and i cant open my sd card files becoz of this problem...

or do i need to unmount my sd card before performing this?
