How to Use a PS5 DualSense Controller on PC

So you’ve decided to try using your PS5 DualSense on your PC. Aside from simply plugging it in and calling it a day, we’re here to help set you up wirelessly should you need a little bit more freedom while gaming. And while hanging out on the couch with the PlayStation 5 is easily one of the best experiences you can have, sometimes we want to see just how far our PC’s can push some of Sony’s biggest, most beautiful games, not to mention saving quite a bit of money not having to purchase an extra controller!

It should be mentioned that the duelsense features ONLY work in wired mode and you need to turn off SteamInput emulation in the controller settings too.

No mention of DS4Windows or DualSenseX is a miss for a video of using DualSense on PC in my opinion. Also, without cable, DualSense Supported game still won't recognize DualSense as dual sense, only as DualShock4 if you connect via steam and emulate it via their controller emulator, so no haptic or internal speaker with Bluetooth. One more thing, most emulator support DualSense natively via Bluetooth, so Something like Yuzu, RPCS3, CEMU and PCSX2 would be able to recognize the controller as Dual Sense and utilize it's haptic feedback and motion sensor controller wirelessly. While other emulator, like dolphin, needs DS4Windows to emulate it as wiimote

It should also be mentioned that by disabling Steam Input which turns every non-Steam controller to a X360 (which is confusing in games), you completely disable its functionality. For example It takes two doesn't see any input from the controller at all if you disable Steam input and rely on Bluetooth, and using DS4Windows is the only way (PSX doesn't support two controllers). But that's not ideal since it can emulate DS4 only, not DS5 natively

Honestly...if they can make an updated ps move nav controller version of this controller....I like using 2 onehanded controllers which is killer if u ain't tried it...

It’s everytime disconnecting, if connect with a wire. Can only play wia Bluetooth normal. Without all the features of dualsense.

TLDR: Pair with Bluetooth (if applicable)
or plug it in (with the cable that came with the console) and let steam handle the rest (its plug and play)
