Homemade Krypton Plasma Globe

1l round bottom flask. Evacuated to 3e-06 mbar, baked for 24h and filled with Krypton (3mbar). The Globe is completely homemade ;)

Now the aurora plasma, design company was usually located in Canada, and most of the globes in there are very expensive. They were usually sold to museums or very wealthy collectors.

Gorgeous!! I’m curious though, why will it only start if you touch it? I was thinking your secondary voltage needs to be higher but that’s just a guess
