The Last Airbender is a PRIME example of a show with perfect length. 3 Seasons with great character development and a satisfying ending. That’s why it’s always gonna be a CLASSIC

The Good Place has a way better ending than I could've ever asked for, especially for a show that high-concept and out-there.

The Good Place was a MASTER at going out on top. Dropped some truths about morality and humanity in a tight 4 seasons then left with a satisfying ending that still sits with me

Almost all of the best shows (Breaking Bad, Gravity Falls, Avatar The Last Airbender) are ones that stuck according to their plan from the start and didn't change that vision that the creator had, no matter if the audience wanted more of it, they knew it had to end there.

Despite being technically cancelled, I think Bojack Horseman ended perfectly, because Netflix gave the creators a heads-up that the show was getting cancelled before they did their last season, so the creators were able to end it in a way they saw fit.

Avatar: The Last Airbender - hands down one of the most well executed shows of all time. You can't change my mind

The Good Place is one of the best shows ever because it ended exactly when the story reached its natural conclusion. It’s such a quick watch because there are almost no filler episodes. Everyone’s arc is wrapped up and nothing feels rushed or prolonged

I’m willing to die on the hill that Stranger Things should’ve been either single season or an anthology with new characters each season. First season ended perfectly and IMO and later seasons lost the horror elements in favour of just being a nostalgia fest.

The queens gambit was excellent for a lot of reasons and one of them definitely is that it ended when it needed to. Same thing with fleabag

Gravity Falls is the perfect example of a show ending on top. 2 seasons, mostly episodic in season 1 and has a big satisfying arc for the second half of season 2.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a dub or sub person, you gotta admit the Squid Game dub was like NPC’s talking

Korean dramas very rarely get 2nd seasons, which is actually why I love them. It's 10-20 (usually 16) 1 hour long episodes, and then the show ends. Resolved, with no cliffhanger. It's just so nice compared to American shows that either gets dragged out to make more money or gets cancelled too early.

Fleabag is actually the perfect example of a show going out on top too. The characters, the storyline, it was too beautiful

Everyone's saying it, but it's true: Avatar: The Last Airbender. Perfect length. Perfect chapters to thematically tie the story— water: the discovery and introduction. Earth: the grounding and fleshing out of the story. Fire: heightening of stakes up to the epic finale.

You wish there was Air. Like, I was left wanting more. That's the best feeling. Even without the miscalleneous comics/books, I could imagine the story going forward. It lives on with a great memory left to me of the good times had.

Sherlock is a series that got too big and became stupid. It should have ended with the second series. Instead it turned into a joke.

Dan Levy literally had this mindset when he made the last season of Schitts Creek! They were just starting to get popular after being on streaming but he knew he didn’t want to drag out a dead story so he ended it perfectly and now it’s beloved AND award winning

You either die a Squid Game or live long enough to see yourself become The Office Season 9.

Community was in an unfortunate situation where it definitely could have kept going if they could've kept their actors but they couldn't. You can tell that the writers still had more to give but were crippled by the cast changes

Even though it hurt in the moment, Gravity Falls ended at the perfect moment. Not a single dull season, it didn’t have a lot of filler, and the story was compelling all the way through. They ended it right.

Honestly, Drake and Josh has to be in the conversation for best sitcom of all time. Extremely consistent, got better as it went along, and never overstayed its welcome. Easily the goat teen sitcom, that's for sure.

K-dramas tend to only have 1 season which is why I love them, the writers are able to wrap up the whole story and deliver proper conclusions in just 16-20 episodes. No dragging the storyline out for multiple seasons like American shows do.
