Jonah and the Whale - The Deeper Meaning Revealed

As the ship cut through the waves, Jonah might have thought he'd escaped his divine mission. But the Lord had other plans. Suddenly, furious winds whipped up the sea-churning waters into frenzy-the storm raged with such intensity that even seasoned sailors feared for their lives. They cried out to their gods desperately tossing cargo overboard to lighten the ship's load.

Yet where was Jonah during this chaos? Asleep in the depths of the ship, oblivious to the tempest above. The captain, frantic and bewildered, discovered him and exclaimed, "How can you sleep at a time like this? Get up and pray to your God! Maybe he will have mercy on us and spare our lives." Little did the captain know that Jonah's God was the very source of their predicament.
