The Curse of Castle Dragon - Paul Gilbert (Guitar Cover)

Last week this song came on in the car and it not only sounded amazing musically but also super fun to learn!

@paulgilbertrock is a guitar player that continuously amazes me! He just keeps getting better and better even when it sounds like he's at the limit of guitar playing!

Paul was the main reason I wanted to study at @musiciansinstitute when I was younger and is still a massive influence for me now!

If you're not too familiar with it, I HIGHLY suggest checking out Paul's solo stuff. His playing, musicality, composition, and tone are just incredible!

Fantastic cover. If I recall, this was the first "shred" solo album he'd released in some time after his Jap-pop years (which I do love tbf) and the second stint with Racer X. This track in particular just blew me away. Mad to think he still kept getting better after this. "Olympic" is the absolute peak of Gilbert writing and technique for me. I would love to see you do a cover of that. Really enjoy your videos man, and they're incredibly helpful for people like me trying to learn these killer tracks.
