McDavid blows past MacKinnon, can’t beat Larkin’s record

Every comment on this clip mentions Larkin's advantage, directly resulting in him keeping the record -- but the people who RUN THE LEAGUE can't figure out a way to either have both records, erase the old one, or at least mention Larkin's head start as a caveat.


The NHL is over a century old, and still everything is trial and error like its their inaugural year.

I think Nate should do this again too. I know he was beat here by McDavid, but they made him turn left and he might not be as comfortable in that direction. I think if nothing else, it would have been at least a closer race if they could pick the direction they skated in back then.
