In the 80's I sent a fan letter to Ally Sheedy and asked her to sign a Breakfast Club VHS sleeve that I included. Took 6 months, but she signed the sleeve, and also signed a photo and some 'Blue City' promotional cards & poster. She also added a short note saying hi and thanking me for the letter. Wasn’t that nice of her? I still have all the things she sent to me.

A great review of a lovely set. Absolutely love the film as well. 80’s Gold! Being a little picky, aren’t the locker hinges embossed as well. I do love that steelbook, simple but very well done.

Great set and such a superb movie. John Hughes was a genius within the medium of film with such a fantastic catalogue of movies, it's such a shame he died so young just think of the gems we've all missed out on!

Awesome set . If you want to see all the deleted scenes and stuff I really recommend the criterion of the breakfast club. It’s a great edition.

Keith that's a lovely set right there 😍 & if you're impressed with that transfer may I recommend the Criterion bluray of this which improves on this transfer drastically and is sourced from a new 4k scan! Keith the results are breathtaking and I'd imagine the 4k will take it from a 9/10 to a 10 in due course 😊

The John Hughes films are coming thick and fast on 4k now with Uncle Buck also just announced and Ferris Bueller also... I'm hoping they do a lavish boxset of all his movies on 4k personally!

I think Ally Sheedy was the basket case. This is a cult classic Keith and I love it. John Hughes ruled the 80s teen movies, he was a genius. This has a great cast and a very simple story but it works so well. And lets not forget the late great Paul Gleason. The locker steel book looks fantastic.Great review Keith.

That Breakfast Club edition is stunning! Such a classic. Incidentally I received my first Film Arena package of “Tenet” in the mail this last week, and I got to say, it’s everything I could have hoped for. What a beautiful disc set! Thanks to to you and your channel, I’m so hooked on these! That “Tenet” presentation was jaw dropping in person. You are right. The camera does not do the lenticular visual aura Justice. Thanks again for putting out such informative and descriptive content. It really opens my eyes to what’s possible and available. Thanks for another great video.

Pfoee i really love John Hughes movies and these eighties coming of high school/college movies with young adults. Can watch these movies over and over again.

Nice update Keith. I have this same steelbook but funnily is not by Film Arena. Anyways, I'm so glad I have it because the blu-ray looks fantastic and it's an annual watch for me and the wifey. An iconic film by an iconic director. RIP Mr Hughes
