Показать описание
Photographing and filming beautiful otters in the Shetland islands with ambassadors, Tesni Ward and David Tipling. Whilst late autumn is a great time to see wild otters with cubs, the weather is challenging and the subjects can be elusive. Tesni and David talk about their trip in late 2022 and show some stills and video they took despite the weather. Features the OM-1 and various pro lenses.

Beautiful shots of those Otters, especially seeing them amongst the seaweed in a very natural setting. I saw them in a harbour in California, but they were surrounded by boats and it wasn't as nice a setting. Well done!

Wonderful footage of the otters. This has made me think that I need to put my OM-1 to more use! I just wish my 150-400mm would hurry up and get here after waiting 7 months already…

Great pictures by David and Tesni. Good filming too by Brydon.

Interesting comments about ISO. Firmware 1.3 to my perception bought about some big changes to noise levels on the OM-1. I'm very comfortable at 6, 400 and sometimes 12, 600. At those levels noise is easily corrected in Lightroom / Adobe Camera RAW without the need for Topaz or other extreme measures.

I would like the OM 1x to have provision for an internal M.2 NMVE SSD, to be used as storage or a buffer. Imagine shooting raw at 120 FPS with no concerns about buffer depth.

Did you know killer whales are dolphins?

Best call them orcas.
