I will never forget her. She's the very first celebrity that i've ever met. I was in Grade 4 she went into this school near my school, on my way home i saw her and she smiled at me as if we know each other. She's very beautiful and really nice. I hope i can meet her again one day.

Additional info: 1969 nag 3rd yr. HS c Jeanne sa NU, 4th yr nmn ako. Mabait talaga sya, halos walang kumakausap sa kanyang mga kaklase dahil siguro ilang sa kanya. Kaming magkakabarda ang nag first move at naging kaibigan nya. Isa pa feeling close ako sa kanya dahil ang PR Manager nya ay family friend namin. You Don't Own Me ang favorite ko sa lahat ng kanta nya. Thank you very much.

Jeanne Young was and still is my idol to this day. I remember her tv shows then, “ Stop, Look and Listen ( Saturday Edition ) that reigned supreme in ratings among other tv shows on Saturday noon, “ That Young Image “ that was trailblazer in terms of camera tricks/innovative production concepts by it’s director, the unmatchable Mitos Villarreal, “ Just Call Me Bunny “, “ Fantastik ! Jeanne in Motion “, “ Spin a Win “ and lastly, a morning magazine tv program that showcases her other talent as an endearing tv host. In 1988, on my way to Sydney, Australia, an Australian missionary who was my seat mate asked if I am familiar with a local popular tv star Jeanne Young ( who have moved then to Sydney with her husband).
When I commented that I know Bunny, the lady missionary realized I know Jeanne Young. When I asked for Jeanne’s contact no., she immediately gave it to me. The day after I arrived in Sydney, I tried to call the no. around 6pm as I assumed she may be home already from work. It was a pleasant surprise to hear her voice as I introduced myself. She asked which fan group do I belong. When I told her Lulu, she knew me right away. I think she was checking if I was a genuine fan of hers. She told me that she just came from Manila from L.A and that while they were in Manila, “ Spin a Win “ was honored and awarded as one of top tv show but she was not able to attend the ceremony. Much as I want to meet her, I didn’t, as I want to respect her privacy. Some Pinoys told me that they see her in St. Mary’s? cathedral on Sundays. Then I became extremely busy with my studies in a Sydney University and lost her contact no.
It’s in my bucket list to meet her again. I was in USA three years ago and much as I wanted to meet her, I don’t know where she resides. Another fan of Jeanne, Lucy (now a resident of Canada), I contacted by chance while she was in Moscow told me that she heard Jeanne is now connected to a religious convent. Here’s hoping that Jeanne might read this and my hope springs eternal. Also hoping for our circle of active fans of Jeanne Young then in the early 70s to contact me. It’s been 50 years ago when I first met Jeanne in “Stop Look and Listen” thru Lulu and still relish the good times we’ve had.
