How To Add A HikVision IP Camera To NVR Using SADP Tool NEW

In this video I'll be showing you how to connect an IP camera that is connected on your network, to your NVR. This is useful when your IP camera is not connected directly to your NVR, for example if it's plugged into a POE switch.

Many thanks and cheers for actually explaining what you were doing rather then clicking here and there and typing stuff in without explaining! And yes did see such videos before stumbling across yours. The camera is up and metaphorically singing like a bird :) cheers

Thank you for another great video. Just a quick question off topic but i see you used an i series nvr but when you logged into it you didnt have any problems going to live view. When i go to live view on mine using microsoft edge i have to use an internet explorer plugin and then have to click on my first camera and then change it from main stream to sub stream and then click on start live view otherwise i get live view failed or i cant see the camera picture when trying to set up intrusion areas or lines under events.
I thought Hikvision would of sorted this but i have just downloaded the latest firmware and its a lot better but i still need to use the internet explorer plug in.
Have you found a way around this?

How did you log into nvr. And see all cameras I can only access one camera at a time. Or you used the gateway address

Great video. I have an older Hikvision NVR that will not cooperate and I cant delete cameras. perhaps it needs a firmware update but none available. I don't have the option to remove cameras.

Very useful video, thank you! I'm going to a site this week coming to add additional cameras via poe switch over WiFi bridges. This going to be a really silly question, When connecting my laptop to use SADP tool, do I patch it in to the NVR?

What if only 2 out of 8 cameras are showing up in the SADP tool and they’re connected via Poe switch.. I can see the NVR and ptz on sadp but not the rest of cameras I have plugged into same switch

Hello great videos, and it's good of you to be so helpfull, out of curiosity I was wondering if you get involved it setting up routers when adding cameras manually in like setting up reservations etc, I know it's the proper way but can be a minefield with all the different routers out there and passwords that have been changed and forgotten etc, also I am aware that if you go high in the range etc it is more unlikely the dhcp will give that address out on a small domestic network but not impossible without being reserved to the device mac. Sorry to ask stupid questions but you clearly know what your on about and wondered what your views are on this. Cheers.
