I use GRC's DNS benchmark which is a great and comprehensive tool for finding the best and quickest DNS Servers. Haven't tried Cloudflare and will definitely try that, thanks for the upload.

Yes. That’s true.
I’ve been using CloudFlare for some time now.
On all my devices, including routers. It is faster browsing indeed.
Thank you.

I have been using CloudFlare, for over a year now. Pages do load and refresh much faster.

Cheers.

Definitely works, might be worth a video on doing the same for on Ubuntu Linux. I've changed 2x W10 and 2x Ubuntu this morning. The DNS server you recommended is quick...

Should run DNSbench first to get a baseline test, then try these or just pick the best DNS from DNS benches top/best picks.

My question is...Is there any advantage or reason to set both DNS on the PC and router? I mean just setting the DNS on the router is good enough no?

Hi everyone, I cannot stress this enough, you must not only change it in the settings under network, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT FOR THE ROUTER AS WELL SO IT CAN TAKE EFFECT FOR WIFI.The other method, only takes effect for your windows pc/laptop BUT YOU MUST DO IT FOR YOUR ROUTER AS WELL!

Its not complicated, go to your router log in page or portal/app, ect and go under the DNS setting, change it there, click save and log out/close app/portal, ect.

If you do not follow you wont be able to enjoy the same benefits for wifi as well!

Wouldn't this only affect the computer in question. Is it possible to change the settings within the router to make it system wide? I realise that a lot of ISP routers are locked down pretty tight these days..

Not bad, I would suggest not to do on pc but on router as it filters to all devices, otherwise you still use the ISP dns and then it changes so it has to change dns twice.
Also using dns bench would be a better option to find the best dns for your area as each dns effects people different dependant on distance to the dns servers.
