Russia scrambled its Su-30 fighter jet on August 5 after intercepting a US MQ-9A Reaper drone approaching its waters in the Black Sea. The Russian Defence Ministry, in a statement, said, "As soon as the Russian fighter approached the foreign reconnaissance drone, the latter made a U-turn away from the state border of Russia."
