I just got the agifab 40" spike aerator a few weeks ago. My small 30" rear engine riding mower pulled with without a problem! I have an acre of mud that just got some seed thrown down. Starting to germinate already... and it looks like the holes did their job and allowed space for water/and seed to fall into! I didn't even till.

I just piked it a few weeks ago and threw down fertilizer. After several good rains... came back and spiked again and then threw down seed. The front yard had straw thrown down and it is far ahead of the back yard that got none.

Best weights. Frame a 2×4 frame to fit precisely in each side. Cut and attach a piece of plywood to the bottom. Then mix and fill them with concrete. Also you can add a piece of rope to the center into the concrete so you can lift them off. I've seen people do 2 weights or 4 to help vary spike depth.

I just bought the plug agri-fab 48in and the 185lb broadcast agri-fab spreader for $490 to go on the back of my new john deere Ztrac lawn mower I can't wait untill they come..

How does it eject the plugs? Are they fed out like sausage links ?? The last one is pushed out by the new one?

Pro tip: Mark your sprinkler heads if you have them with flags or your gonna do some damage to them

May sound stupid, but here in the UK we are not generally blessed with big gardens. Could I tie a length of rope to it and pull it manually around my garden.

Bought the 40” for my 20, 000 square foot lawn. Will be towing with my 10hp Wheel Horse. Kind of a pain to assemble, two band-aid job 🤣

I am on the fence with either the Brinly 48 inch aerator or the Agri Fab one. It looks like you can do a two inch plug which is good.Do you have an opinion on the Brinly 48 inch plugger?

Was wondering what size hydro gears in your mower? Mine are ZT-400 and says only pull 200 pounds so I use my garden tractor to pull it. Changing the hydro oil at 100 hours was a real learning curve. Should have watch you tube first. 😂

Added (2) 3/4 gas pipe flanges and (2) 3/4 12 inch pipe nipples on mine. Just slide some barbell weights on. Leave flanges on just take weights and 12 “ pipe off when storing. Weights stay in place no issues.
