So the flowers basically blow to where the corresponding person is. Makes sense, also explains why mystery was scared, as Shiro now knows where he is. Lewis put the blue flowers in his locket so he could find Vivi.

Just realized, the fact she was able to pull all of the flowers out of the one locket, is literally representative of the TRUE image in the locket - not just Lewis and Vivi, but the four of them as a group. Arthur squinting in The Future to see it, it was the true image all along. How else was she able to get the connection to Mystery and Arthur (the yellow flower she pulls up in the first three)? It just makes sense. Good ass foreshadowing there.

theory that just occured to me: the heart represents not who's in lewis's heart, but rather _who his primary focus is._ it's orange by default because lewis's primary focus is enacting revenge on arthur. this is why it's blue and cracked after vivi leaves, and goes back to normal after her petals are put back, since she's his anchor, and having her (or at least some part of her) with him is able to set him back on track. this is why it turns gray/shattered at the end of hellbent/start of future--his primary focus has been finished (hence orange leaving), but he realizes that it was a horrible mistake, and the grey could represent him realizing he loves _all_ of his friends (grey being combination of all colors) or realizing his loneliness (grey representing absence of color) or just representing his own regret (grey representing grief)
