The justice system failed those families. I cannot even imagine their anger.

this jury let their city down, hope they can live with what they have done to these families

The jury decided his fate based on emotions which indicates that they were already biased.

They can make an example out of alex jones for spreading lies about a mass shooting, yet this guy commits a mass shooting and doesnt get the maximum penalty?

Who is the sole juror who voted for life? It will come out

There is a heating this morning because that was allegedly some threats made to a juror by another juror.

We all saw it from day 1, a Kangaroo Court, wrong Judge, wrong County and flawed Jury selection process. What does someone have to do in today's society to be executed? Beyond rational mindset.

don’t worry. he’ll get the death sentence once in prison. not from any government, but from the citizens inside.

Wait ..If he didn't get the death penalty for methodically killing 17 people then why is there anyone who is currently on death row in that state? Is there someone else incarcerated in FL who killed that many people or more? I am not a supporter of the death penalty anywhere but they need to do something about this situation. If he gets to live his life in prison with a small room, bed, a toilet, electricity and food which is more than some hard-working Americans have right now as more and more people are being forced to live on the street due to rent increases, then he needs to be put to WORK in prison. They need to guarantee that he doesn't get any of the luxury items like television and studying and getting a college degree and all that stuff that is available to some prisoners. Make him WORK and build stuff or do something to earn the taxpayer money that is funding his life sentence! Have him contribute to society by doing something productive.

I'm sure the residents of Parkland are FURIOUS over the verdict! DEATH SENTENCE AVOIDED! How could they let that MONSTER get away with 17 innocent lives taken away?! Now those kids WILL NEVER GET JUSTICE!

I SYMPATHIZE GREATLY WITH THE FAMILIES BUT THE PROBLEM WITH THE DEATH PENALTY IS THAT AS LONG AS WE HAVE IT, IT'S VIRTUALLY AVOIDABLE THAT SOME WRONG PEOPLE WILL BE PUT TO DEATH. REMEMBER--- OUR CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IS NOT PERFECT AND THAT IS WHY THE PROCESS OF FILING AN APPEAL IS PART OF OUR CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.

You gotta think to though even if he had gotten Death he would not have been killed immediately he would be in for YEARS before they killed him. He will get what he deserves believe me
