Besides the fact she was gorgeous, she had the most variety of facial expressions. You knew how she felt just by looking at her face. Amazing actress ever.

I just recently read that Vivien Leigh had a photographic memory and knew her lines after only reading through them once. She was such a great actress. I love all of the expressions she makes throughout the film. She was born to be Scarlett.

Vivian Leigh was really born for this character. I can't imagine anyone else could replace her position in this film. And every time I read Gone With The Wind, her face just automatically comes out in my mind.

This movie encapsulated vivien at her absolute prime. Everything about her is absolute perfection and the epitome of glamour of those golden years in hollywood.

And Vivien is amazing. She is so breathtakingly beautiful and no one could ever capture how complex the character of Scarlett was/is. She is the reason Gone With The Wind is arguably considered the #1 movie of all time. And the proven #1 grossed profit film of all time

This was entertainment. After all these years, it still gives me goosebumps. The actors--- incredibly gifted. 1939 was the best year ever for film. BELOVED.

Now that I’m reading the novel it’s extremely clear to me that Vivien was born to play Scarlett her characterisation is perfection.

I never fully realised just how beautiful she was. Most beautiful ever I would say. And her ACTING - amazing, especially for that time. Altogether, there was something beyond genius at work in this unique movie.

To think they now want to censor this film is absurd. One of the greatest films ever made, and arguably a great piece of art. No one should be prived of it

Vivien leigh in gone with the wind perhaps the greatest screen performance by an actress she carries a 4 hour film

She was so beautiful in this movie. No one could have played the part but her . And Clark Gable was so handsome. Hard to believe that Olivia deHavilland is still alive.

Vivien Leigh...so beautiful, so absolutely amazingly talented!  She WAS Scarlett O'Hara, the very image and spirit of her.  No actress was ever cast in so perfect a role; or perhaps, no role was ever more perfect for this actress.  Olivia deHavilland once said of her she gave something to this film which she did not give to any other, and 75 years later, it is still undeniably true.

What 25 year old actress could carry a four hour film on her shoulders today? That's right, none of them.

I´m watching this movie since 50 years at least once a year and will never get tired of it. Besides being the most beautiful creature ever Vivien leigh was by far the best movie actress. I wished she had pursued an acting Career in Hollywood.
