Absolutely brilliant song. Love the Indian floruishes, the mellotron bits. The middle eight Portnoy vocal, great bass, beautiful tone to the solo. Wonderful, wonderful song.

Maybe it's just me that sees this song for what it is.  A song for you asking you to hold the light, ...no matter the darkness, ...to find the light inside you, and shine your Love for all to see.  They know if all the people listened to this with their hearts and felt these things, there would be no more wars, or starvation, or hate.  To see that all men can feel these things and asking us to shine together.  I Love this song so much...

Mike's got one of those frreakish memories for that kind of stuff. He did an interview not too far back when he said that he just has the ability to remember all of these different songs and can pretty much just show up and play with little or no rehearsal.

wow, big prog rock fan since the 70s but never heard of Transatlantic, don't recall where I heard of them, but finally decided to listen to something from them while looking for some music at work last night. I made my co-workers listen to this song at least 10 times in a row. Love discovering "new" bands/music.

Can't believe all the moaners. this is a beautiful song with all the usual features of the Transatlantic ballad that appears on most albums (and on Spocks ones before that). I have no doubt the rest of the album will be full of the magic of the others. That's one of their strengths - the ability to pull of a variety of styles in one album. Listen to the whole thing before whinging! If you don't like any of it, buy something different! As for Mike Portnoy - all power to his elbow for sharing his talent around - what a guy!
