When customers become angry, they don't want to be told that you "understand" how they feel. They believe NO ONE could relate, and don't want to hear that phrase out of your mouth.

So true, my Mother, if I gave her a penny for every time she said "I know how you feel", when she really doesn't. Feelings do not come into it with my Mother! I am learning to laugh at her reactions now after many years. I love this channel xxx

Thanks for this. I feel so dumb because in that situation I go blank and I can only think of "I understand" which then I don't say anything because I know that is not the right reply. Now I feel better about it. Lol. Also, I love your videos! They are great!
