I was a big Nets fan as a kid and was pretty much resigned to the fact we'd always be a bad team. Then Drazen showed up and changed the organization, fans had hope, fans thought we could win.

I was about 13 when Drazen died and I can't tell you how upsetting it was. :O(

R.I.P. Drazen you were a hero to many a kid.

Drazen was a myth a legend. I am coming from a small town in Israel, and my first coach taught me Drazen's shooting form watching cassettes from Drazen early days. His work ethic is what made work, his love to the game, his smile, his decision making, what a great guy.
One thing i never understood is why people are calling the Drazen/yugoslavic crossover Shamgod??? He was the first!
After a while i met 3 guys from Croatia that came to Israel for work and they balled like NBA level. Learned a lot. Balkan basketball is the best fundamental sound basketball on earth. Truly amazing.
