Between Reducing the order and minimizing no of multiplications, Minimizing multiplications should be given priority over reducing the order, isn't it ?

Can somebody explain why sir use 4 × 4 × 2 ? I know about m×q fromula but unable to get this one

Answer to query at 27:00 is Matrix multiplication is not commutative.

sir why we are not multiplying M1 and M2 first (in last ques) because when we solve by starting with M1 and M2 we get option D as the final ans which is also correct
