Bro I don't know where you are getting your data from. But PHP jobs are still aplenty. Currently, I am myself working on a GREENFIELD PHP project. And there are many more new PHP projects getting built as well. I think you can still get employed with PHP at the very least much more than Python. Nobody cares about python except for ML/AI folks which right now are very very little in numbers.

P.S: My opinion is entirely based on the local Pakistani market. Don't know about abroad.

PHP is not going anywhere! It is one of few ecosystem which has stood the test of time and are mature now, even more so than python in terms of web application building.

Please go outside and have some real market information. PHP has still alot of job opportunities and alot of companies are working on PHP.
Going with PHP would be great option for any newbie developer
