You can scarcely find something more ironic than Tesla being taken of the ESG portfolio. It would be like taking Christ out of Christmas.

What a day Dillon. I took it very easy only to come back home to hear ESG stands for easy solution for greenwashing. Okay good to know. Tesla called them out in their impact report so this move is just classic and to be expected. They don't want anyone to call foul but there it is in black and white. The opening to Tesla's IMPACT REPORT was telling so...

Look Due Diligence isn't fun but these ESG funds, their rating system (which is a joke as they contradict themselves a lot) are yet another thing we cannot blindly pick to absolve us from having to look at things critically and with a skeptical eye. They are selling something we want, but it's packaging more than substance.

Whatever good it has done is out weighed by the actually good it isn't doing and THAT IS A PROBLEM for INVESTSTORS WHO WANT TO DO GOOD. Sorry to break the bad news, but it would better to do our individual stock picking than go into this fund hoping they have the same and sane values we have and wish to support.

DOING GOOD TAKES EFFORT, these ESG funds make you feel like you are doing good but really you're not. Whoever came up with this had "good intentions" but their efforts are not producing the results they could because there are plenty of lovely loop holes and double weird standards that would allow Tesla to not only have a poor rating but to have a rating on the same level as Shell. Something is not right in a universe where that makes sense!

Let's not get annoyed, let's make sure our pensions or other managed accounts don't put our money in these types of funds UNLESS THEY ARE INVESTED IN ACTUALLY GOOD FOR SOCIETY COMPANIES and if you advisor is just looking at this ESG score card, then you need to talk with your advisor, ASAP.

Note they rated Shell with an "Implied temperature rise" of 2.79°
Then gave Tesla 2.63°.
This in the same month that the Tesla impact report shows them being *Energy Negative* from 2012 - 2021.
(INCLUDING all the energy for charging ALL their vehicles!)
