New to MPC software but oldschool 1000 user...bought a MPD because nearly all the buttons (not the pads) died on my 1000 and its a pain in the ass to navigate the OS...Well I'm glad I did this move (I will clearly repair my MPC someday but for now...) I hella awesome all the thing you have in this software...FOR FREE ?! and you can use it as a vst so I can drumpad my beats when tracking in Renoise ?! It's the perfection I never thought I would be able to do in my life !!! Chopping samples by padding your way through is just genius !!! Thanks Akai pro, you totally eradicate the writer's block I was stuck for some years now !

I am new to the MPC universe and there definitely is a learning curve. I learn bits at a time because some of the lingo take a bit of practice. Akai is the bees knees when it comes to those drum pads no doubt. I own the mpk mini II and leaning towards the MPC studio. I only wish the workflow was a bit simplified for us entry level mpc'ers. 😆 Thanks akai good job for the hardware. I'm sure once I catch on I will love it even more.

How were you able to use the pads to chop? I had to click on slice and then click on the pads on my screen to chop the sample. Thanks in advance!

When I hit new program after chopping the samples it loses everything when I go to layer the drums. Love this DAW and the potential I see but the way it's laid out is frustrating.

Am I just missing something? I do everything he does in the video but when I go to new program it doesn't create anything for me...I am having SO MANY issues with this program..

i tried. and it didnt work, i cant load it anywhere it just asks me if I wanna replace, rename or cancel

nothing works for me i've followed the tutorial step by step but the program doesn't do anything when i press on the pads, it just plays the sample till it's finished and nothing else

Ok, Loaded Samples. But cant cue chops with pads on the controller? is there an option to select midi controller for this feature?

Can I load a sample from outside to mpc beats? For example like herbie hancock - running to me and other samples.

I appreciate this tutorial. After creating a new program, I wasn’t automatically provided with a drum program. This is preventing me to record what I have created. Any advice on how to fix this? Thank you regardless.

Can you further refine the chops (start/end) using an encoder or knob? That's a huge selling point when chopping samples.

2 Questions:
- Can I have a chop be shortened? (say I make a chop, but I want the sound to end sooner than when the next chop begins)
- When I play my sample chops, is there a way to have it play the full chop, continuing after I pressed the next sample chop?
