The Story of Scout — A League of Legends Documentary

Scout is one of my favorite stories in League of Legends. From his early days on SKT to his historic career on EDG. He's accomplished so much in the LoLEsports scene. Not enough people outside of the LPL or LCK know his story. Today we're fixing that. Special thanks to the LPL for research help with this video.

Just as a short note, a few people have pointed out I unintentionally glossed over Meiko (EDG's support) who's been with EDG this whole time too, even longer than Scout. This documentary obviously focused on Scout, but he also deserves credit for sticking with the team through their dark days until their recent resurgence :)

There's just something cool with someone dedicating their entire pro career to a team and actually be able to win in the highest stage as the most valuable player. Glad that someone has documented Scout's journey in the pro scene.

I remember gbay99 making a story about Huanfeng last year. Then Huanfeng and his team went all the way to the finals. Although they didn't win, they still gave us one of the best worlds championship series ever, especially game 2. I also remember watching every game they played at worlds that year starting from the groups stage, all because of gbay99, and ngl they were one of the most exciting team to watch that year.

The Gbay99 buff for Scout will surely take him and his team to places.

Watched this video on release and now I'm watching it again today after celebrating Scout and EDG's heroic victory at the 2021 League of Legends World Championship. No one in the history of this sport has struggled, fought, and persevered like Scout has. This was truly an anime-esque story arch for a player who will go down as one of the greatest players of all time and a true role model for aspiring competitors. Congratulations Lee Ye-chan, you earned it!

Btw in the last EDG vlog, when the players took the bus to the airport, you see Aaron telling the players "Lastly, I hope we can make a promise to each other. Let's not meet in the next two weeks." and crying when the bus drove away

the best part about this is that EDG actually has a nice shot in winning worlds when you think about it

you mentioned scout was the only constant through EDG's history but Meiko was there all the years aswell (and he's also an LPL legend, probably one of the most influential supports of all time)
despite this, watching this after the 2021 world's finals give me the chills. scout finally got what he deserved after grinding for years, truly a heartwarming story
