I find myself returning to Anker products again and again for sheer quality and reliability.

I am in the UK and have been looking for a home battery storage / backup solution so I will be watching Anker Solix with interest.

The trend is emerging: stackable batteries for energy. Enphase, FranklinWH and Tesla Powerwall need to catchup with EP Cube and QCells Q.Home and soon Anker Solix. Extensible/stackable inverters for extra power in the same vertical stack should be next. NFPA recommendations for kW limits by battery chemistry, horizontal separation/spacing and backup relocation will favor tall vertical stacking of AC batteries. Choice of battery chemistries would be great too.

I can see portable home backup solutions becoming more popular as home ownership isn’t a reality for a lot of people, a lot of people rent. Plus you can invest in one of these expensive batteries and just bring it with you if you move to a new home.

Let's see the *app*... Also a question about ATSs... I've got a manual transfer switch with a 2 Growatt 5000ESs. The inverter has a clock, so I'm thinking if I use the *inverter* as the "primary power", and the grid as the "backup", I could use one of the commercially available ATSs... they're all obsessed with generators, and won't tell me if what I have in mind will work. Any ideas?

Joe, what price per KWH do you think storage batteries will have to reach to disrupt the utility monopolies? Panels are becoming cheap but batteries are still prohibitively expensive for most homeowners.

Because you always compared new product to Tesla, this tells me that Tesla is the benchmark & is encouraging me to buy Tesla, even if there are other that can match technology, surpass the technology or cheaper price.

I'm not sure what the obsession is with lithium batteries. They are one of the most dangerous and environmentally unfriendly technologies that are being promoted today. Just picture your Tesla vehicle exploding/catching fire in the garage which spreads to the Tesla Powerwall on the side of your house, which leaches over to your neighbor's house that has the same setup, and so on... leading to a massive inferno that's literally impossible to extinguish! I'm sure this exact scenario has already taken place in China (no doubt), but do we hear about it in the mainstream media? Hell no! Choose you this day whom you will serve; as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!
