Correct. She had ZERO business having this done to her, regardless of her own feelings / position on it, because she was far from cognitively developed enough to understand the long-term effects and those who did all this work, were FAR less than forward about telling her what they would be.

It's so sad that there are health care professionals that are allowing such atrocities to happen. The idea that children are capable of making life altering decisions is absolutely mad ! If they aren't capable of getting a tattoo because of future regret then what makes them capable of deciding to alter their bodies at a chemical level ?! Madness !

It's incredibly terrifying how these "trusted" professional therapists could jump to such a radical diagnosis and "treatment".

I don't want to excuse all of these parents, but these are supposed to be medical professionals that we can trust, that's the whole concept of therapy. I would imagine that most of these parents, would have followed any treatment prescribed their child, trusting the medical professional. It's like reading about historical lobotomies, even though they were fairly widely criticized, plenty were being prescribed and performed as a "treatment" by medical professionals.

Anyone who advocates this for a child is a MONSTER and should never be allowed around children, especially other people's children....
And those who would force their child to go through this process should be in prison....
