Looking through the newspaper that saturday, i aaked my which horse do u fancy to win? He said, its anyones race. He closed his eyes and put his pen down on the paper, he said, that's the horse, and laughed. I bet on that horse, he didn't. It was, Mon Mome.

100-1 .... he hung on in and then romped it. A great race.

Venetia was a fabulous trainer. How Mon Mome was 100/1 I'll never understand .He had won a couple of big races already and had some of the best form in the race.

Why are horses considered "intelligent" or special, but when they unseat their jockey and become a "loose horse" they become invisible, and no longer even have a name? I love watching the loose horses, so much better without some stupid human on top of them. Here's to all the loose horses at the National, and a special though for those that were shot, just because they stopped making money for their owners.
