Yeah even if they can't find the OF to disqualify. They'll usually just make something up rather than respect another human.

People do this with all kinds of things- like just yesterday I saw a comment along the lines of “You have a religion and thus nothing you say or think can be trusted” when talking about something that has literally nothing to do with religion.

Pulling from unrelated outside sources, just saying whatever you don’t like about a person and using it as a reason to assume they cannot be right about anything ever.

You don’t gotta like and agree with every single aspect of a persons life to know that they’re capable of reason and should not receive any amount of basic respect.


You’re allowed to not like someone, but not liking them for a reason unrelated to the discussion is not a reason to dismiss their point entirely.

I got into an unfortunate political "conversation" with a couple of older, straight, white men earlier today. Thank you for this, as it kind of explains why they started verbally tag-teaming me, and one actually screamed at me. And yes, he was screaming about events from his past that were unrelated to the topic at hand. Anything to not hear what the little, queer mama has to say!

Women have been dealing with this nonsense forever. “You’re a woman so you don’t know what you’re talking about” has always been around, but that’s no as readily accepted in our society as it used to be so people have to find new descriptors to use as a tactic. Race, class, financial status, and gender used to be the attack points; now it’s more likely to be sexual preference, gender fluidity, self presentation, religion, etc.

It’s all just a way for some people to try to convince others they are somehow more valuable than others. 🙄

Ok. So apparently “OF” is “only fans” detected. Why would someone’s opinion be rejected only because they (presumably) have an OF account? I have no idea. Must research further. 😂

I suspect also that some people just make a judgement based on the fact someone has OF, without needing to see the content. Regardless of someone’s feelings about that kind of site, however, it doesn’t negate the value of their opinions!
